Vantage Ventures works to boost growth of West Virginia technology start-ups

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WV News) — With an ever-growing roster of technology-based start-ups under its umbrella, Vantage Ventures in Morgantown is hoping to change the tide of West Virginia’s economy and provide a stable job and talent pool for years to come.

Vantage Ventures Executive Director Sarah Biller described the organization as an initiative that seeks out founders of “high-growth, scalable, capital-efficient, investible companies” in the state. Located in West Virginia University’s John Chambers College of Business and Economics, Vantage Ventures currently works with 29 such companies, with another four in the process of onboarding, according to Biller.
