CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WCHS) — The wedding industry is getting a much needed boost. With COVID restrictions continuing to loosen up, more couples are feeling comfortable to celebrate their big day.
Bakers are busy making cupcakes, pastries and cakes at Sugar Pie Bakery just trying to keep up with the ever changing world and weddings.
"We've had a lot of last minute changes with weddings and stuff," Baker Laura Horton said. "They'll call us and be like, 'Our wedding was supposed to be this date, but it got changed. We're available to do it this date. Can we have a cake?' So, it's been piling up more and more, since especially outside weddings."
