Wellsburg Bridge to move to final destination in April

BROOKE COUNTY, W.Va. — The main span of the $140 million Wellsburg to Brilliant bridge project will go on the move in April.

Brooke County officials said today the bridge is tentatively set to begin its float on April 19th from the construction site at the south end of Wellsburg to the spot where it will span the river.

And, though the bridge will be moving on the river, there will be road closures to keep hordes of sightseers at bay, and to keep people safely away from heavy equipment.
