West Virginia Symphony Orchestra ready to celebrate magic wands, lightsabers


The West Virginia Symphony Orchestra will present “Harry Potter vs. Star Wars” at 2:30 p.m. March 20 at Blennerhassett Middle School in Parjersburg.
The symphony also will present the show March 19 in Charleston and March 21 in Clarksburg.
“Harry Potter vs. Star Wars” features music from all films from both epic series. With music by John Williams, along with Patrick Doyle, Nicholas Hooper and Alexander Desplat, the concert will take the audience on a journey through the wizarding world of Harry Potter and to a galaxy far, far away.
The audience is encouraged to wear their favorite wizard robes or Star Wars costumes.
