West Virginia offers hundreds of miles of trails for bikers

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WV News) — Whether wanting the challenge of navigating rough terrain on a mountain bike, or cruising along the hundreds of miles of rail trail pathways, North Central West Virginia has a plethora of locations individuals can enjoy weekend adventures on this season.

According to the West Virginia Tourism Office, more than 375 miles of railroad train tracks have been converted into navigable trails for residents and visitors alike to enjoy. In addition, state parks such as Valley Falls State Park and Watters Smith Memorial State Park offer miles upon miles of varying terrain for those willing to go a little off the beaten path.
