New 2020 Census Hiring Events Announced

3/3/2020

The United States Census Bureau is looking to fill hundreds of part-time, temporary positions in West Virginia. Two new local hiring have been announced in Hampshire County on March 11th and Pocahontas County on March 12th.

The 2020 Census is your chance to play a vital role in West Virginia’s communities while also earning money. Most 2020 Census positions will last several weeks and feature competitive wages, weekly paychecks, flexible hours, paid training and mileage reimbursement. Additionally, jobs offer flexible hours that fit in your schedule—offering daytime, evening and weekend hours.

Positions with the 2020 Census are crucial for getting an accurate count of everyone living in the West Virginia and the United States. This count determines how federal funds are allocated to community programs like education, healthcare, public safety and infrastructure. As an employee of the U.S. Census Bureau, you will be ensuring that West Virginia’s communities get the representation and funding they need to thrive.

In order to be eligible for a 2020 Census job, applicants must be at least 18 tears old, have a valid Social Security number, be a U.S. citizen, and have a valid email address.
