Tricia Ball wants to help West Virginia businesses thrive in new position as president of Huntington Regional Chamber of Commerce

A small business is often a family business out of necessity. When Tricia Ball was a young girl, an injury to her father while on a logging job led to him being physically unable to provide for his family the way he was used to.

“My parents ended up buying a pizza shop in a nearby whitewater rafting town, and I spent my summers growing up behind the counter taking people’s orders, getting their drinks, and making their food once I was old enough,” Ball said.

Ball grew up in Farmington, Pennsylvania, but her path has taken her to the Huntington Regional Chamber of Commerce, the 131-year-old organization that she has led since January.
