Public Employees Grievance Board

From 1985 through the first half of 2007, the West Virginia Education and State Employees Grievance Board served the employers, the public employees and people of the State of West Virginia. In it's twenty years of operation the Board established a body of administrative law governing the employment of teachers, service workers, higher education workers and professionals, and state employees. That legacy shall continue beyond the existence of the old Board in the over 6,200 decisions rendered by it's Administrative Law Judges. As we move into a new era of public employee conflict resolution, these decisions shall remain as a precedent and guide to interpreting the laws governing the employment of public employees.
